A drug dealer who tried to run away from police after being seen acting suspiciously in a car in Aylesbury has been jailed.
Keldan Carroll fled after police pulled over a car that was "acting suspiciously" in Revels Close in Aylesbury on June 28.
Carroll was caught and inside the car, £6,800-worth of cannabis was found. The car was not registered or insured by Carroll, 23, and he was disqualified from driving.
Police then raided a house in Shakespeare Way, Aylesbury, and found £12,000 in cash.
Carroll, of Shakespeare Way, was arrested and charged with one count each of possession with intent to supply a class B drug, being concerned in the supply of a class B drug, possession of a controlled class B drug, driving whilst disqualified and driving whilst uninsured.
In a hearing at Aylesbury Crown Court on August 2, he pleaded guilty and he was jailed for two and a half years at the same court on September 16.
He was also banned from driving for an extra two years and three months.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Laurie Twine, based at Aylesbury Police Station, said: “This is yet another example of the Aylesbury Stronghold team targeting those profiting from the sales of illegal drugs.
“This investigation shows that if you are in possession of and supply drug, we will pursue you, arrest you, and seize your profits.”
