A new primary school officially opened its doors in Aylesbury.
Kingsbrook View Primary Academy, which was unveiled to the public on Wednesday, September 15, will school 420 pupils which will include a 52-place nursery.
Situated within the Kingsbrook housing development in in the town, Kingsbrook View Primary Academy is a free school that is run by the Inspiring Futures Partnership Trust.
It has new school has car parking, including electric charging points, a cycle and scooter storage area along with external play areas that are made of a grass playing pitch, trim trail, multi-use-games-area (MUGA), hard and soft play areas, a wildlife area and forest school.

The project led by Buckinghamshire Council has been completed through a strong partnership with the developer, Barratt David Wilson Homes, the Academy Sponsor, Inspiring Futures Partnership Trust, and our main contractor Morgan Sindall. Buckinghamshire Council’s Schools Commissioning and Major Projects Team led on this project.
Councillor Anita Cranmer, Cabinet Member for Education at Buckinghamshire Council said: “This is a truly wonderful building.
“The facilities are second to none and will provide a great learning environment for the current and future pupils.
“The building has sustainable credentials such as solar panels on the roof and the building fabric is designed to ensure it is thermally efficient thereby reducing the carbon emissions which will help the Council meet its Carbon reduction targets.
“I hope the pupils, teachers, staff and local community enjoy the new facilities for many years to come.”

Karly Williams, Sales and Marketing Director at Barratt North Thames, added: “Delivering Kingsbrook View Primary Academy has been a result of a close working relationship with Buckinghamshire Council and their contractor Morgan Sindall and we are proud to mark its opening.
“The project showcases the importance of working with local stakeholders to ensure our Kingsbrook development is beneficial to the wider Aylesbury community, as well as the school being an important facility for all the families onsite. We look forward to working with the school on a variety of community activities for the years to come.”
