NOT many people can lay claim to the title, "Ultimate Icon Of The Last Forty Years", but Sir Terry Wogan can, having been named exactly that by BBC Radio 2 listeners in a recent poll.
Perhaps it is easy to see why, especially as the Bucks resident has been entertaining audiences since he received his very own radio show in 1969.
Over the decades, he has also hosted numerous television programmes, including his live chat show series, Wogan, as well as The Eurovision Song Contest, Come Dancing, Blankety Blank and Children In Need, which to date has raised more than £400 million for youngsters in Britain.
With every day presenting a different, but always interesting, challenge, Sir Terry puts pen to paper and charts another helter-skelter year in his latest book, Wogan's Twelve.
This light-hearted glimpse into Wogan's life traverses all the personal and professional moments from the last 12 months.
From presenting awards to receiving awards, from experiencing the rollercoaster ride that is The Eurovision Song Contest to relaxing in the garden of his beautiful chateau in France, and from working on radio to appearing on television, Wogan takes us with him on the journey, feeding a witty and insightful narrative along the way.
A sheer delight for his many millions of fans.
