Police have arrested a “high end” keyless car thief in Marlow 30 minutes after they stole an expensive Mercedes.
Officers from the Thames Valley Police Roads Policing Unit were called at 1.30pm on Friday, August 27, after a keyless car was stolen from its owner’s driveway in Henley.

Because the owner called the police immediately after the crime took place, officers were able to instantly get out on the road and hunt down the thief.
Officers were able to track down the vehicle on the A404 Marlow Bypass, despite the offender changing the number plates. The driver was arrested and detained when officers revealed that the car was the one that had been stolen.

The offender was in handcuffs 30 minutes after they committed the crime, and the car was returned to its owner an hour later.
In a social media post, TVP Roads Policing said: “Gone in 60 Seconds, arrested in 30minutes, recovered in 60 minutes.”
