A violent male evaded arrest over various counties after escaping lawful custody from a secure hospital.
Police officers learnt of the escape on Sunday and within five hours relocated the man in Denham.
Reinforcements were brought to an address when officers spotted the man entering the building.
The escapee has now be locked back up.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "Chiltern &South Buck officers on Sunday learnt of a violent offender who had escaped lawful custody and was unlawfully at large from a secure hospital.
"The male continued to evade arrest across various areas and counties before making the mistake of trying to hide out in Denham.
"Eagle-eyed officers spotted the male entering an address and called in the reinforcements.
"The male was located, arrested and now locked back up within five hours of his escape."
