Later that night his body was found on the railway, with injuries “compatible with being struck by a train.”
Mr Butler said: “The brief circumstances are that he was out on Saturday with his girlfriend. Prior to his death he ran off.
“At around 10pm to 11pm sadly a body was found on the line at High Wycombe and the injuries were compatible with being struck by a train.”
According to Mr Butler, British Transport Police have been investigating the incident and have located CCTV footage of Mr Pritchard before he died.
At the short hearing, Mr Butler told the court that at the full inquest “all the circumstances” will be looked at.
The full inquest has been scheduled to take place on February 1, 2022.
