Two people have been arrested after a woman was assaulted with the attackers thought to be carrying weapons.
The woman in her twenties was attacked in Field Lane, Greenleys on August 21 at around 10pm.
As a result of the attack, she had bruising to her arm and swelling to her forehead and did not attend the hospital.
A man, 44, and woman, 45, have been arrested on suspicion of affray, possession of a bladed article with both released on bail.
The woman has also been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage after a car was found damaged after the assault.
Investigating officer PC Sofia Matthews, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “We are appealing for information following this incident.
“We believe that members of the public may have intervened following this incident and as such we believe may have information in connection with the case.
“Anyone with information should call 101 or go online quoting reference 43210376123 or they can report 100% anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
