There will be a circus feel about Marlow in the coming weeks as performers bring a family-friendly mix of circus workshop and performance to the town.
Professional circus artists Katy Kartwheel and Funky Fi will demonstrate their skills, including spinning plates, juggling, hula hooping, diablo, devil-sticks, pedal-go and twirling ribbons.
The free workshops will take place on Saturday September 4, September 35 and October 2 from 11am to 1pm on the Causeway at the Marlow Market.
On 4th September the Chinese Pole will be included in the workshop, with an expert performance from Funky Fi, and on 25th September and 2nd October the Tightwire will be included with performances from Katy Kartwheel.
Mayor Richard Scott said: “We’re delighted to welcome these performers into the town.
“The aim is to provide a vibrant atmosphere as people return to our streets and to support the re-opening of our shops and businesses.”
Funding is provided by Marlow Town Council and Buckinghamshire Council as part of the European Regional Development Funding under the ‘Welcome Back Fund’ that runs to March 31.
The Marlow Market, where local businesses sell their produce, food and crafts, takes place on The Causeway on the first Saturday of every month except January, from 10am to 3pm.
