An investigation into the death of a “wonderful” 27-year-old mum is still ongoing after she died in a car crash on the Wendover Bypass.
Amy Evans, from Great Kingshill, died following the crash on the A413 on June 7, 2019, and more than two years on the police investigation into her death is still ongoing, with charges yet to be brought.
However, at a pre-inquest review which took place at Beaconsfield Coroners’ Court yesterday (Wednesday), senior coroner for Buckinghamshire, Crispin Butler, revealed there had been some recent progress in the investigation.

He said: “This investigation is still ongoing in relation to the incident which occurred on the A413 Wendover Bypass.
“The latest update I have from Thames Valley Police is that a report was made from a doctor on August 22, this was going to the Crown Prosecution Service for consideration of charges.
“To date, I have not been made aware of any homicide charges being brought against an individual or individuals. The inquest remains open.”

The fatal crash that led to Amy's death took place at around 4.45pm near Wendover Railway Station.
The collision involved three cars, including a VW Golf and a Land Rover Discovery.
Issuing a statement immediately after her death, Amy’s family released a tribute to her.
They said: “We are absolutely devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of our beautiful Amy.
“Amy was a wonderful mother, partner to Jack, daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend who brought joy to everyone she met and will be greatly missed by so many.
“We would like to thank the members of the public who helped at the scene and the Thames Valley Police and the Ambulance Service for the wonderful support which they have provided to the family.”
