A 70-year-old man who assaulted a woman has been given community service.
Brian Mayger, 70, of Church Street in Chesham, assaulted his female victim in Chesham on February 2, causing her actual bodily harm (ABH).

ABH is a form of deliberate assault where the victim is physically harmed.
Mayger appeared at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on July 8, where he pleaded guilty to ABH and obstructing or resisting a police officer in their duty.

After hearing about his crimes, the magistrates ordered Mayger to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work within the next year. He was also ordered to undertake up to 30 days of rehabilitation activity requirement.
The magistrates also ordered Mayger to pay £170 costs to the court.
