Ricky Gervais has provided an update on the latest season of his comedy After Life which was partly filmed in Beaconsfield.
Over the past months, comedian Gervais has been filming season three of the Netflix dark comedy, and has been spotted on several occasions on location in Beaconsfield.
Tweeting this week, the Reading-born comic seemed to confirm that shooting is now practically complete on the latest season, meaning it is one step closer to our screens.

He said: “Locking Picture on After Life 3 next week. Then it's a few weeks of grading, dubbing and laying on all the music.
“Oh, then a couple of months translating it into 160 languages. If you knew the amount of work I put into stuff you'd respect me more.”
The Office creator was spotted multiple times in the past few months shooting scenes in ‘million pound town’ Beaconsfield, where many memorable locations in the show are based.

On April 29, he was seen with a film crew in the grounds of St Mary’s and All Saints Church, shooting a scene while sat on a bench.

Then, a few weeks later, he was seen again. Over the road this time standing outside Beaconsfield Old Town Registration Office in Windsor End.
The registry office is used as the set for Autumnal Leaves Care Home in the series, where Gervais’s character’s father lives.

Pedestrians were asked to keep their distance while filming took place, but the comedian was happy to pose for selfies between shots.
In the show, Marlow resident Gervais plays local newspaper reporter Tony Johnson, who struggles to come to terms with the loss of his wife.
Now that filming is practically wrapped for After Life season three, there are hopes it could be aired soon – but Netflix has remained tight-lipped about the release date.
