Drivers are being warned not to drive over the speed limit on roads that have recently been resurfaced in the county - because Transport for Bucks engineers on the scene are reporting them to the authorities.
Buckinghamshire Council’s transport arm says speeding on newly-resurfaced roads can be dangerous because it causes dust and chippings to come loose.
One van driver was caught on camera on a recently-resurfaced road throwing up huge dust clouds as they drove down the road.
Council leader Martin Tett reinforced the message, saying he suffered an incident years before.
He said: “Please do not do this. Some years ago a car going far too fast on a new surface chipped my own windscreen.
“Please think of others before putting your foot down.”
Transport for Bucks added: “Please help keep our teams safe and stick to the limit.”
