More than 100 houses in High Wycombe have been decked out in Disney-themed designs as part of fun trail for children that raises cash for charity.
Mum-of-two Rebecca Impey, the brains behind the inaugural High Wycombe Winter Windowland Christmas Trail and the successful Easter version earlier this year, has now launched the Disney trail to raise money for SUDC UK, in memory of all children affected by Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood.
Rebecca says most houses have gone “all out” with some impressive interactive displays designed to entertain young families, adding that they are "our best yet".
A map of all the houses involved can be bought on their Virgin Money page with a donation of any size that will go to charity.
You will then receive an email with a link to download a document which is the trail pack, with maps, quizzes, dot-to-dots, arts and craft competitions to keep children busy over the summer holidays.
On August 14, Meet & Greet Parties are collaborating with High Wycombe Windowland trails to host a parade of Disney mascots who will walk around the three streets that had the most houses sign up.
The parade will start at 12pm in Miersfield, before heading to Cressex Road, Holmers Farm Way, past Asda and back up to finish at Miersfield.
Meet & Greet Parties are donating 10 Disney mascots to the parade, while Disney’s top hits will play and the children of High Wycombe will show off their parade posters.
A Disney family fun day will also be held on August 15 on Booker Common, starting at 2pm until 6pm. Entry is a donation of any amount.
There will be a mini children's sports day with challenges like egg and spoon and sack races, bouncy castles, slides, limbo challenges, beat the buzzer, penalty shoot-outs, over 30 stalls and a chance to meet one of 18 Disney mascots.
Rebecca said: "We’ve really tried to give the children the best summer yet after what has been a difficult year for them. All funds raised on the day will be donated to SUDC UK and Sweet Williams legacy. Both charities who support and care for families who have sadly suffered the loss of a child.
"Since starting our trails in November 2020 we’ve raised over £6,000 for local charities and hope to add to this amount over the next couple of weeks."
