A man has been banned from entering any Lidl in Bucks after he was accused of stealing more than £100-worth of meat from one of its stores.

Shaun Vine, aged 38, has been accused of stealing meat products worth £126.97 from the budget supermarket in Cambridge Street, Aylesbury on May 6.

Appearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on June 16, Vine denied the charge of theft from a shop. He also denied a charge of using threatening/abusive words or behaviour alleged to have taken place on the same day.

After pleading not guilty to the two offences, the hearing was adjourned until November 26, when a summary trial will take place.

Vine, of no fixed address, has been granted conditional bail until that time – the condition being that he is prevented from entering “any Lidl in Buckinghamshire.”

This means Vine will not be allowed to go to either of the two Lidls in Aylesbury, the two in High Wycombe or the Buckingham branch.
