PennFest made a spectacular return to Penn Street this weekend as Craig David took to the stage to entertain revellers alongside a host of other musicians.

It comes after Bucks’ biggest summer festival revealed dates for 2021 following the announcement of Boris Johnson’s roadmap out of lockdown.

The two-day family-friendly music festival celebrated its 10th anniversary this year and also saw the likes of Razorlight, Sigma, Ella Eyre, Peter Hook & The Light, Dreadzone and Republica perform for crowds.

Organisers wrote on social media: “We would like to say a huge thank you to our staff and backstage crew at PennFest who under extreme pressure and challenges managed to get the show open.

“This was one of the most challenging events we have ever put on.The feedback has been great although we know we can always do better.

“We would also like to say a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the event over the last year by buying a ticket or rolling it over from 2020. Without you all PennFest would not exist.

“We promise to work hard over the next year to make PennFest an event everyone in Buckinghamshire can be proud of.”

Early bird tickets are already on sale for next year’s event, which is expected to take place on July 22 and 23.

Since its launch in 2011, PennFest has grown from humble beginnings as a village festival attracting 2,000 people into a huge fixture on the UK festival circuit, attracting internationally renowned artists and tens of thousands of people every year.
