Fly-tippers who dumped all sorts of rubbish in Bucks, including a double bed, black bags and cardboard boxes have been fined thousands of pounds.
Over the past few weeks, a number of unlawful dumpers have appeared before magistrates at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court where they have been made to face the consequences of their unlawful actions.
See below for a list of fly tippers who have been ordered to pay up in the past few weeks.
Piotr Poplawski, aged 51, was fined £1,200 and told to pay a further £1,020 costs for dumping waste in Bucks.
On February 5, Poplawski tipped several black sacks filled with household waste, wood offcuts and cardboard boxes in a layby on Risborough Road between Kingsey and Longwick.
Appearing in court on July 7, Poplawski, of Rutland Avenue in High Wycombe, admitted dumping the rubbish, pleading guilty to depositing waste without an environmental permit.
Lawrence Rooney, aged 27, lied about dumping a double bed and mattress in Crow Place Lane, Burnham, on August 19, 2019, but magistrates found him guilty of depositing without an environmental permit.
The offender, who was caught on camera committing the offence, had claimed that it was a lookalike who was responsible.
Rooney, of Bath House Close, Huntingdon, was fined £750 for the offence and told to pay an additional £325 costs when he appeared at court on July 1.
Andrew Mulvihill, aged 27, was fined £533 and ordered to pay £2,454.76 in costs after he admitted to dumping waste in Bucks on four separate occasions.
At a hearing on June 30, the court heard how Mulvihill had tipped twice in Alderbourne Lane, in Fulmer, dumping mixed building and renovation waste on October 8, 2020 and timber cut-offs on November 2, 2020.
The court also heard how Mulvihill, of Viola Avenue in Stanwell, deposited household waste in Crowpiece Lane, Burnham on October 6, 2020 and in Allerds Lane, Burnham, on October 8, 2020.
Pascal Dikuiza, aged 31, was ordered to pay the equivalent of £242 for each black sack he dumped after he admitted tipping two bags in Seven Hills Road, Iver, on May 4, 2020.
Dikuiza, of Greatfields Drive, Uxbridge, pleaded guilty to one count of depositing without an environmental permit at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on June 16, resulting in a £200 fine and £284 costs. It would have cost nothing to dispose of the bags at the nearby recycling centre.
