Marlow is a town known for beautiful views of the Thames, delicious food at world-renowned eateries and above-average house prices – but even the nicest locations are not immune to crime.
Data released by Thames Valley Police show that 184 crimes were reported in the town and its surrounding areas in May this year.
Take a look at the list below to see which of Marlow’s streets saw the most reported crime, and perhaps should be avoided.
5. Dukes Place - three
A total of three offences were reported in Dukes Place, an alleyway in the centre of Marlow, in May.
These crimes included violence and sexual offences (two) and anti-social behaviour (one).
4. Allanson Road - four
A total of three offences were reported in Allanson Road, a cul-de-sac in eastern Marlow, in May.
These crimes included public order offences (two), anti-social behaviour (one) and violence and sexual offences (one).
3. Eliot Drive - four
This road to the west of Marlow town centre, near the A404 roundabout, also saw four crimes reported in May.
All four of these reported offences were anti-social behaviour.
2. Bobmore Lane – four
Bobmore Lane, just off the Little Marlow Road, also saw four crimes reported in May.
The offences were public order (two), anti-social behaviour (one) and violence and sexual offences (one).
1. Pinecroft – five
Pinecroft, to the north of Marlow town centre, takes the unwanted crown for May, with five offences reported in a month.
All five offences in this street, which is adjacent to the Seymour Court Recreation Ground, were anti-social behaviour.
Anti-social behaviour offences can be any situation where a person is acting in a way that can cause harassment, alarm or distress to other people.
