An off-licence premises for which there is “little or no demand” could be converted into flats under new plans.
Mr John Davy, from Send, in Surrey, has submitted to Bucks Council a planning application for Costcuttr, on Oxford Road, in Gerrards Cross.
Plans detail the ‘demolition of a single-storey rear projection and dilapidated garage, and the conversion of the existing two-storey semi-detached building (including retail unit) into three self-contained flats’.

The removal of a chimney and some rear steps, as well as changes to doors and windows, and the addition of three parking spaces are also proposed.
The property comprises ‘retail facilities (Costcuttr) on the ground floor and bedsit accommodation above’, a report states.

“The existing rear annexe is in a poor condition, suffering from damp problems,” it adds. “It requires demolition to create access and parking facilities.”
Andy Toogood, a representative of Strutt and Parker estate agents, claimed residential units “of this kind are in great demand in this area”.
Adding: “However, there is little or no demand for retail units such as this.”
Planning officers will now decide what becomes of the application.
