This is what you have been writing to us about this week.
I understand that the hours and the chimes of the All Saints Church clock are to be heard no more between 10pm and 7am.
It appears that the church council has acceded to the request of local persons who found the chimes to be resounding and loud.
Apparently, the complainants believe that the noise from the chimes is unacceptable and that the disruption to sleep is adversely affecting their mental health.
A long-standing tradition is extinguished. Perhaps the complainants will let us know if they are recent arrivals in Marlow and if they have paid for the modifications to the clock that they requested.
Surely they did not expect the church to pay.
