Several kebab shops in the county have been nominated for this year’s British Kebab Awards.
Eateries in Holmer Green, Milton Keynes, Bletchley, and Little Chalfont have all been recognised for the hard work that has been produced over the last 12 months, the establishment going up against kebab shops in major cities across the UK.
In all, five kebab shops have made it to the final with four of them entering different categories.
Ibrahim Dogus, the founder of the British Kebab Awards and Director of the recently formed Kebab Alliance, commented: “Kebab eateries are a key part of the local community and it’s great to see so many entries at the end of a year that has tested every business operating in the hospitality sector.

“Getting to the shortlist is a real achievement given the competition across the country and all outlets should be rightly proud.
“We wish all finalists the best of luck.”
Two of the kebab shops, which are the Pasha Turkish Grill Restaurant in Bletchley and the Mangal Express in Little Chalfont have been nominated for the Best Kebab Restaurant Regional, whilst Sunats, which is also in Bletchley, has made it to the final stages of the Customer Satisfaction category.
Holmer Green Kebabs have entered the final of the Just Eat Best Delivery section whilst DeRoka Restaurants in Milton Keynes is in the Fine Dining category.
Overall, the categories focus on the best shops across London, best takeaway in London, best regional takeaway, best value restaurant, best customer satisfaction, best fine dining restaurant, best kebab van, best Greek restaurant, best Lebanese restaurant, best Just East Delivery and best chef to name just some of the groups.
Andrew Kenny, UK Managing Director of longstanding award sponsors Just Eat, added: “We’re delighted to continue our sponsorship of the British Kebab Awards, which recognises individuals and businesses at the forefront of the kebab industry.
“Not only do the shortlisted restaurants and takeaways serve fantastic food, they also offer a vital source of local jobs, bring diversity to our high streets and make a significant contribution to the UK economy - particularly important at the end of a challenging year.”
The final will take place on Tuesday, October 26 at the Park Plaza in the Westminster Bridge Hotel.
