Residents across High Wycombe, Hazlemere and beyond were left confused by "dips" in their electricity last night.
Dozens of residents took to social media to report their lights were flickering at around 10.30pm on Sunday - with those living in High Wycombe, Holtspur, Hazlemere, Wooburn Green, Bourne End, Loudwater, Flackwell Heath, Great Kingshill and Little Marlow saying their lights had been "flashing" or "flickering".
It happened a handful of times in the space of around 15 minutes on Sunday night, but there was no full power cut.
The Bucks Free Press approached energy company SSE to find out what was causing the issue.
A spokesman said their engineers are currently investigating what happened to "understand the cause and make any required repairs".
They added: "We’d like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused to customers in the area."
You can contact SSE's powercut helpline on 105 for any further assistance.
