Residents in Chesham will now be able to order food from some of their favourite restaurants as Deliveroo launches in the town.

The delivery service has officially launched in Chesham, with PizzaExpress, Costa Coffee – Little Chalfont, Subway, Mughal Palace, Rocce Woodstone Pizza and Mad Squirrel among those that have joined the popular online service.

The company is now appealing to more restaurants and grocery retailers to sign up, saying it hopes to add new local eateries and convenience stores to the list over the coming months.

The firm is also appealing to riders, whether bicycle, scooter or motorbike, who enjoy riding as a hobby or those who are looking for a way to keep fit to join the team.

It is looking for around 50 people to become riders, with those signing up able to work when they want, delivering food and groceries to customers’ doors in as little as 20 minutes.

Berenice Cowan, head of UK expansion for Deliveroo said: “At last, we’ve arrived in Chesham. We can’t wait to bring everyone great food from local and national favourites, and to help local chefs reach new customers. Hungry foodies, here we come.”

She added: “The launch will be a major boost to small restaurant businesses across Chesham who will be able to reach new customers and grow their restaurant businesses through offering delivery.

“Working with Deliveroo increases restaurants’ sales as they can reach a wider range of customers.

“This enables restaurants to expand their businesses, often employing more staff, broadening their menus and lengthening opening times as a result.”

Customers have the option to schedule orders via the Deliveroo app up to one day in advance or receive food as soon as possible between 11.30am and 11pm on weekdays and weekends.

In celebration of the launch, Deliveroo is offering all new customers £10 off their first two orders using the code: NEWROOTOWN.

This is an offer for new customers only, with a minimum spend of £15 per order. The code is valid until August 22.
