A Bucks motorway service station is one of the best in the country to stop off at.
Beaconsfield Services, at junction 2 of the M40, has been named the second best in the UK by car dealership the Brindley Group, which looked at all of the 100-plus services across 29 different motorways throughout the country.
They used average review scores from TripAdvisor, Google Reviews and Motorway Services Online (MSO) and combined these to produce aggregated scores out of five for each site based on thousands of online ratings.
And Beaconsfield came in at second place, with an average score of 4.18 out of five. Users voted for it as one of the best places to refuel, relax, recharge, stretch their legs and grab a bite to eat on their journeys.
Speaking about Beaconsfield services, one motorist said: “The facilities are brilliant and there’s a wide range of retail and food options.”
The M40 was also deemed to be the major motorway with the best services, with particular attention given to the J2 services, with a Brindley Group spokesman saying: “So if you have a long journey ahead of you soon, then be sure to stop off here.”
And in terms of motorway service operators, Extra, which operates Beaconsfield services, came in joint second place with Euro Garages, behind The Westmorland Family which took the top spot.
Extra’s selection of services were rewarded with plenty of glowing reviews.
Users commented on the friendly and helpful staff, the brilliant facilities and the “wide range of retail and food options”.
One reviewer even said it is “more like an upmarket airport than a motorway services”.
Beaconsfield has often ranked among the best services in the UK, with drivers consistently giving it a high rating in different surveys.
