Risborough Rangers ran riot in their friendly match against the Rushden & Diamonds U21 side on Saturday, as they thumped the youngsters 9-1 at the B.E.P Stadium.
On a beautiful day in Risborough, Rangers were in control from the first whistle as goals from Brian Haule and Asher Yearwood gave the home side a 2-0 lead inside six minutes.
The goals continued to roll in as Aaron Jewell poached home from three-yards after the half-hour mark, before Lewis Patrick scored from long range to make it 4-0 on 38 minutes.

On the stroke of half-time, Yearwood, who works as a PE teacher during the day, got his second before Diamonds pulled on back seconds later as Terry Atem smashed a shot from 25-yards that flew in off the post.
At half-time, Rangers were leading 5-1 and it could have been more.
Seconds in the second half, the goals continued Sean Coles got the sixth for the Reds before Maddison Wilkes got the seventh on 54 minutes.

Yearwood then completed his hat-trick before getting his fourth and Risborough’s ninth, in what was a day to forget for Diamonds.

Rangers’ next friendly match, which was due to be against Beaconsfield Town on July 20, has now been postponed, with the club confirming that they are looking for another side to play.
