Eden Shopping Centre in High Wycombe will be recommending face coverings and social distancing after coronavirus restrictions are eased on Monday - but neither will be enforced.
From Monday, July 19, it will no longer be mandatory to wear face coverings and to socially distance from other people as the government further eases the restrictions the country has faced for many months.
In a statement to the Bucks Free Press, an Eden Shopping Centre spokesman has outlined their position when the rules are relaxed.
Urging shoppers to respect each other's personal choice, they said: "While it will no longer be mandatory to wear face coverings and to socially distance from 19th July, Eden Shopping is encouraging customers and retailers to act with caution.
"We recommend the continued use of face masks in enclosed environments and ask everyone to respect each other’s space by continuing to adhere to the two-metre standard.
"Face coverings and social distancing are our recommendations; we will not be enforcing either action.
"However, we appeal to all our visitors to respect each other’s personal choice and act with courtesy toward each other."
