Dozens of runners will be taking on a gruelling challenge in High Wycombe this weekend in a bid to raise cash for charities.
Members of the Your Pace or Mine running group will be attempting to run three miles on the hour, every hour, for either 12 or 24 hours – a mini or full ‘ultra’ distance of 36 or 72 miles.
The group is taking on the epic challenge to raise vital funds for Mind, Rennie Grove Hospice Care, Women’s Aid and Heart and Souls cardiac rehabilitation.
Stuart Wheeler, a founder of the running group, says they complete challenges often - but this will be their biggest.
Around thirty people will be fully engaged in the challenge, at Wycombe Cricket Ground, while other runners will be joining in when they can.
They are hoping to raise at least £1,000 to split between the charities.
So far, more than £400 has been raised – to donate, go to www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ypom124ultra
