This is what you have been writing to us about this week.

Following up on the letter concerning parking on The Rye (BFP Letters, July 2) I would like to add that I too suffered the £60 fine recently.

I made an error and was a few minutes late. My mistake, so I paid without appeal.

However, I have a question for Bucks Council. You have automatic number plate recognition technology in place at this location.

This I know as it was used to serve the charge notice on me.

Could this technology not be used to calculate the correct parking fee and charge on exit, so that mistakes like mine are less likely?

I suppose the revenue from fines is just too lucrative.

In response to the Rye parking letter from S Cork (BFP Letters, July 9), it was not him who incorrectly misdialled his car number.

He is the third person I’ve heard that got caught in this way.

Myself and another guy wrote, sending a copy of our parking ticket, and got a reduction to £20.

We both paid, rather than have the hassle, but felt it totally unfair, especially as we had proof of payment.
