This is what you have been writing to us about this week.
I cannot begin to express my thanks to the residents of Chesham and the surrounding area that rallied to the call to protect the Pednor Valley, a crucial piece of Green Belt and AONB, in recent weeks.
Buckinghamshire Council have now rejected the planning application for the siting of a new barn and kimchi facility.
In addition, I have worked with our officers to have an enforcement notice issued for the immediate removal of the fencing that has been constructed and a Tree Protection Order has been placed on the site to prevent the landowner from carrying out further felling without a full application and meaningful discussion around the proper management of this land.
Cllr Wilford Augustus (Chesham Town Council) and Cllr Gareth Williams (Buckinghamshire Council) have been incredibly supportive of these actions and residents can rest assured that inappropriate management and/or development of precious greenfield sites will not be tolerated or condoned.
Cllr Jane MacBean, Chiltern Ridges
