Plans to open an opticians at the site of a former bank have been revealed.
Mr Jonathon Hardy, of Specsavers, has submitted to Bucks Council a planning application for 51 Sycamore Road, in Amersham.
Plans detail the ‘conversion of a retail unit into a Specsavers retail shop, with a new shopfront, and changes to the windows, doors and signage’.

The site is described as a “bank retail unit” in council documents.

It is believed the space in question is the former Santander, which closed in June 2019, according to the bank’s own website.
Planning officers will now decide what becomes of the application.
