Buckinghamshire’s best and worst GP surgeries – according to the patients who use them – have been revealed in an annual survey.
The latest results of the GP Patient Survey 2021 were published on Thursday, July 8, after 15,258 questionnaires were sent out.
A total of 6,595 surveys were returned, with patients rating their GP surgeries on things like how easy it is to get an appointment, how helpful reception staff are and their overall experience.
The GP Patient Survey is an England-wide survey, providing practice-level data about patients’ experiences of their GP practices.
Ipsos MORI administers the survey on behalf of NHS England.
The questionnaire was redeveloped in 2021 to reflect changes to primary care services as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Residents’ responses were graded by the percentage of people who said their surgery was at least "good".
Sixteen GP surgeries were rated below the national average, which is 83 per cent. The average for the whole of the Buckinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group was 84 per cent.
