A Bucks man who stole a £5 bottle of wine and damaged a police car has been ordered to pay compensation.
Appearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on June 7, Toby Sawyer, 48, of Denham Road in Iver, pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of wine worth £5 from Co-op in Iver on September 17, 2020.
Sawyer also pleaded guilty to using threatening words or behaviour and committing criminal damage to a police vehicle on the same day.
Magistrates ordered Sawyer to pay £5 compensation for the bottle of wine and a further £92 compensation for the damage he caused to the rear seats of the police vehicle.
He was also issued with a 12-month conditional discharge.
