The first ever knife amnesty bin has been installed in the Thames Valley.
The container, which encourages people to hand in bladed weapons such as knifes, has been put up in Aylesbury on the outside of the South Court Baptist Church in Penn Road.
It will be accessible 24 hours a day seven days a week, with the bin being the first of its kind to be installed away from a police station in the region.

“Our amnesty bin is totally anonymous and will be accessible for members of the public to dispose of knives and other bladed articles 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year!
“Knife crime is a force priority, and we will continue to work with our partners to tackle knife crime and bring offenders that carry knives to justice.”
