An apologetic assailant who told the court there were “no excuses” for his actions during an incident in Gerrards Cross has been spared a harsh penalty.

Appearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, Keith Nash, aged 45, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault which took place in Gerrards Cross on November 20, 2020.

The two victims were not harmed during the incident.

Addressing the magistrates in court, Nash, of Minniecroft Road in Burnham, apologised for his actions.

He said: “There is no excuse for my actions and I will take any punishment you see fit.

“I apologise for wasting everyone’s time.”

Addressing the offender, the magistrate said: “What you have said to us today is that this was an incident that shouldn’t ever have happened and you have made your views very clear.

“This was an event that didn’t cause serious harm, but it could have.”

Sentencing, the magistrates ordered Nash to complete a thinking skills programme, as well as five rehabilitation activity requirement days.

He was also told to pay £180 costs.
