A former wedding dress shop could become a new ‘chicken restaurant and takeaway’ under fresh plans.
Pradeep Kumar, of Windsor Road, in Maidenhead, has submitted to Bucks Council a ‘change of use’ application for the Wakefield Building, on Gomm Road, in High Wycombe – close to Aldi and B&Q.
Plans detail the building’s ‘conversion from a vacant shop to a hot food takeaway and restaurant’ although a convenience store has been using the building for around a year.

Its use as a wedding dress shop ended in December 2017, according to council documents.
The new business will employ three full-time staff and two part-time workers, it adds.
Opening hours will be 10am-11pm, daily.

Plans also seem to suggest the new business may sell hot chicken, but the agent was unable to confirm that detail, or the name of the new restaurant.
“The proposal will enhance the area as there are not many hot food takeaways nearby, and at the same time will not change the appearance of the complex,” a design and access statement reads.
The applicant is now awaiting a decision from Bucks Council.
