A High Wycombe car park “full of cars” with lots of parking tickets which could have “been there for ages” has prompted concerns about unpaid charges and whether the council will act.
Members of the public have questioned whether “tons” of vehicles in a car park on East Richardson Street, each with several parking tickets, are generating “thousands” in unpaid fines – and why ‘no one seems to care it is a public space’.
One car park is directly next to Manley’s Garage; the other is said to be Desborough Square near Aldi.

Both have several cars each with several tickets on the windscreen, people claim.
One person said the vehicles “look like they’ve been there for ages” but that “people don’t care”.
Another claimed to have seen several “dusty” cars parked in the same area with tickets in the windows, “more than a year ago”.

“A council-run car park in middle of Wycombe, Desborough Square opposite Aldi, is full of cars with like five parking tickets each,” someone said.
“Looks like auction cars or scrap or garage repairs. Tons of them. It’s a council-run public car park but obviously people don’t care.
“Look like they’ve been there for ages. Must be thousands in charges.”
Several businesses nearby, including the Dulux Decorator Centre, Interpart Motor Spares, and Beacon Funeral Services had no knowledge of the situation.
Manley's Garage were unreachable for comment.
Cllr Steve Broadbent, cabinet member for transport, said: "We're unable to give any specific details of vehicles, however we don't allow vehicles to be stored in any of our car parks.
"Where penalty charge notices are issued, enforcement of the charge is pursued in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004, which includes obtaining owner/keeper details from the DVLA.
"Where it appears a vehicle has been abandoned, investigations are carried out in accordance with the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environments Act 2005 and the appropriate action taken."
