Part of a major Bucks road that has been closed off due to a fallen tree and power lines since this morning is expected to reopen soon.
The A413 is closed northbound at Chalfont St Peter, with drivers being warned to expect delays and asked to follow a diversion in place.
According to AA Traffic News: “Road closed due to fallen power cables and fallen tree on High Street Northbound from Market Place to A413 Gravel Hill.
“A tree has fallen in the car park of the The Greyhound Inn pub, taking down a series of power cables.”
Transport for Bucks said just before 2.50pm: “The #A413 #ChalfontStPeter was closed this morning due to a fallen tree at the roundabout by the Greyhound Pub.
“Tree surgeons are on site and the road is due to reopen shortly.”
Cllr Isobel Darby tweeted a photo just before 8.15am, writing: “A413 closed this morning due to dangerous tree. Expect delays and follow diversion. Keep safe.”

And Carousel Buses tweeted at 7.17am to say it would not be able to “serve the Waggon and Horses in Chalfont St Peter and we apologise for any inconvenience”.
It added in another tweet: “To update our previous tweet, Chalfont St Peter road closures will mean anything in the direction of Uxbridge will miss Wagon and Horse.
“All services in the other direction will be unable to serve anything between Wagon and Horse to London Road, St Giles.”
And TVP Chiltern and South Bucks said in a tweet: “The A413 at the Greyhound pub #ChalfontStPeter is closed due to a fallen tree. This includes the footpaths, please respect these closures they are for your safety.”
While Berkhamstead School Transport wrote: “Route K Urgent Update: The A413 is closed Northbound at Chalfont St Peter due to a fallen tree and power lines.
Due to a fallen tree we are unable to serve the Wagon and Horses in Chalfont St Peter we apologise for any inconvenience

“The coach will bypass both the village and Misbourne Avenue stops. We are adding a temporary stop by the Jolly Farmer PH.”
According to reports, traffic is still continuing to build in the area.
