A "magical" Victorian boathouse that featured in The Wind in the Willows has gone up for sale in Marlow - for £2 million.
The three-bed boathouse, which was built around 1880, is on the banks of the River Thames in Quarry Wood Road.
It has gone up for sale for the first time in a generation for at least £2 million.
Called Rippling Waters, the private gated boathouse was used in the films True Blue, a 1996 drama about the Oxford and Cambridge boat race, and an adaptation of the classic The Wind in the Willows.
RiverHomes, who are marketing the house, say it is "lost in its own time capsule" and "exudes calm and tranquillity once you drive through the gates".
They wrote: "Walking down flower bedecked trellised pathway, past a one bedroom studio with potential to reinstate a garage, this jewel rises majestically from the water.
"The ground floor features an enclosed mooring suitable for a 30 foot vessel with 10 foot ceiling height at normal tide, a small kitchen area, and shower room/toilet for garden entertaining.
"Upstairs there are two further bedrooms, a large reception room overlooking the river, galley kitchen and bathroom."
They are inviting offers of over £2 million. You can view the full listing on Zoopla here - www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/58673172/?search_identifier=263fc776e3d50b33ddf99c4e36f6ef76
