This is what you have been writing to us about this week.
Having visited Langley Park over the Bank Holiday weekend and noted the parking problem along the road, I can understand the view that parking on the road should be restricted.
The same can no doubt be said for many other parks and areas of natural beauty.
However, parks and areas of natural beauty are valuable to society’s mental health.
Banning parking on surrounding roads is a reflection of the council’s or owner’s failure to provide sufficient off-road parking.
There should be no bans on parking on surrounding roads unless sufficient off-road parking is provided for public needs.
Anything less is a failure of the council’s or owner’s obligations to the public.
