Plans to build a new ‘holiday home’ with a garden at a village pub have been submitted to the council.
Punch Partnerships (PML) Limited has submitted to Bucks Council a planning application for The Squirrel pub, on Penn Street, in Amersham.
Plans detail the ‘erection of a single-storey two-bed dwelling for use as a holiday let’, with an internal floorspace of 73 sqm, opposite the Common and cricket ground.
An enclosed garden will be provided at the rear.
Parking spaces will jump to 23 from 20, and some landscaping is also proposed.
“The proposed holiday let is expected to enhance the existing business,” a planning statement reads.
The pub “will remain in operation following the implementation of the proposals”.
