A driver had to be rushed to hospital with a broken jaw after getting into a fight on the A355 in Beaconsfield.
Thames Valley Police said the fight broke out on the A355 towards Slough from Beaconsfield.
The victim, aged 30, was involved in the fight as a result of an incident between a Seat Taracco and an Audi A3 at the Dorney Hill South junction.
Police said the attack involved another driver and happened about 5pm on June 1.
Anyone with dashcam footage that may have captured something is asked to contact police.
A man has since been rushed to hospital with a broken jaw and broken tooth. He was treated at Wexham Park hospital and has been discharged.
Following the incident a 37-year-old man from High Wycombe has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and released under investigation.
Detective Constable Mark Banham of Amersham CID, said: “The incident happened on a busy road at a time when people may have been on their way home from work, so we believe it may have been captured on a dash-cam.
“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the incident to please get in touch with police, quoting reference number 43210238152.
“I’m particularly keen to hear from anybody who may have phone, CCTV or dash-cam footage from the incident to please contact us.
