One of the county’s biggest running events has returned for 2021.
The Run the Rock race in Stokenchurch will take place between Saturday, May 29 to Sunday, June 13, with the event taking place virtually.
Participants will be able to choose from the 5k, 10k or fun race, with the runners being encouraged to take part with a friend or a small group, on the basis that they ‘observe any national or local restrictions relating to Covid-19.’
The race is a non-profit event, with all money raised going back into the local community within Stokenchurch.
A statement reads: “We are delighted to offer the option of an additional fun run this year too, for ages three-plus so however you want to ‘Run the Rock 2021’ you can do it your way.
“Run it, Walk it – Rock it.”
“We can’t offer marshals and encouragement along the route like we normally would, but we would love to see photos of you and your running buddies so please get involved with our social media pages.
“Medals will be available by arrangement for collection from local partners.

The course takes place on an undulating, mainly off-road course, throughout Buckinghamshire’s natural beauty, where there will be tracks, fields, woods, footpaths, open lanes, chalk lands, grasslands, and our local residents otherwise known as the Red Kites.
Please note that due to it being a virtual event, the organisers are only accepting entries from ages 16 and over for the 5k and 10k, with 16 and 17-year-olds needing the consent of a parent/guardian to take part.
