DISUSED offices at a shopping parade could be turned into new flats – if plans are approved by the council.
Mr Craig Gray of Christine Homes has submitted to Bucks Council a ‘change of use’ application for 1 Centre Parade, Place Farm Way, Monks Risborough.
Plans include the conversion of some currently vacant ground floor offices to three self-contained one-bed studio apartments, all around 39 sqm in size, and all of which are destined for the ‘housing market’.

Permission was granted in January to change the use of the offices to two two-bed flats, according to council documents.
However, “the proposals seek to afford a more efficient use of the site by providing a further residential unit, whilst ensuring the living standards of future occupants would be exemplary,” a planning statement reads.

It adds: “A single parking space in the form of garaging directly opposite the property to the south-west would be provided for each studio, in addition to a further garage to be used either for visitor parking or storage.”
The applicant is now ‘awaiting a decision’ from Bucks Council.
