CALLS have sounded for the council to tackle an ‘ongoing drainage issue’ which may be causing a road to flood during bad weather.
The Richings Park Residents’ Association reported to Bucks Council recurring flooding on Wellesley Avenue, in Richings Park, Iver, which happened again this weekend following recent heavy rainfall.
The ‘problem’ area appears to be in front of a series of shops not far from Iver station, which saw water filling the street for days.

PUBLIC: 'Ongoing drainage issues still causing problems'.
The residents’ association claimed poor drainage was the issue.
“The ongoing drainage issues still causing problems near the shops and station in Richings Park @BucksCouncil,” the group tweeted on Monday (May 17).
The group posted images taken outside an osteopathy clinic and dry cleaners where it claimed the flooding had happened before.
Conservative MP Joy Morrissey tweeted: “These drains clearly need attention. I’ll write to the council.”
In an online response, Bucks Council wrote: “We have sent a report through for the attention of a local area technician for their investigation. Hope this helps.”
A Transport for Buckinghamshire (TfB) spokesman said: “TfB is aware of the flooding related issues in this area and this location is scheduled for further investigation to eliminate flooding and determine the reason for slow drainage.
“The local area technician visited the site today (May 20) and noted the flood water has soaked away for the time being.
“The site has been made safe whilst these works are scheduled and flood boards remain on site to advise motorists of standing water given the current weather forecast.”
