A woman was given oxygen after a fire destroyed a river cruiser this week.
Firefighters from Broughton and West Ashland, as well as the Water Rescue Unit from Newport Pagnell and an officer, were called out to the Grand Union Canal in Waterside, Peartree Bridge, Milton Keynes at 7.50am yesterday (May 14).
Crews used a main jet, a hose reel and two sets of breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.
They also gave oxygen to a woman who was suffering from the effects of breathing in smoke and checked neighbouring boats for signs of fire or smoke damage.
