A man in his 40s from Beaconsfield has died after a crash on the M40 that saw part of the motorway closed for over an hour.
Emergency services were called to the scene near junction 2 of the southbound carriageway at around 1.30pm yesterday (May 11) to reports a man and a vehicle were involved in a crash.
Paramedics provided emergency care but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Thames Valley Police said: “His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
Police also said his death is being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

It comes after police closed off the soundbound carriageway between junction 4 for Handy Cross and junction 2 for Beaconsfield for over an hour following a “serious incident”.
The closure caused huge tailbacks to the A40, with Broad Lane, which goes over the M40, also closed.
Drivers were warned of long delays and diversions were in place while emergency services were at the scene.
