Police chase in Iver sees golf buggy seized

Officers from Thames Valley Police’s Chiltern and South Bucks team were out looking for the buggy amid “ongoing anti-social behaviour issues” involving it being driven around “by youths”.

After a tip-off from the member of the public at a polling station, police found it at Iver rec.

As they approached it, the youngster inside allegedly took off with an officer chasing him on foot along the High Street.

Police said this “proved too much” for him and lost control of the buggy, narrowly missing a car before allegedly crashing it.

Thankfully no-one was injured, TVP said, and no damage was caused.

Police said the youngster has been reported for numerous offences and the buggy has been seized.

TVP Chiltern and South Bucks said in a social media post: “Thankfully we resolved this issue with a big help from the members of public before anyone got seriously hurt. Hard lesson learnt.”
