A much-loved postman in Marlow celebrated his 60th birthday with residents on his daily route around the town.
Fred Smith is a well-known figure in the neighbourhood and is the inspiration behind the postman character in the recent novel by Robert Thorogood, "The Marlow Murder Club".

Local residents decorated the street with banners, balloons, and messages to celebrate their postman's 60th birthday.
The postman was presented with a big birthday card at the end of the postman’s route.

Residents of Wycombe Road, Campbell Road, Southview Road, Oak Tree Road, and Kennedy Close have also contributed to a GoFundMe page for Fred.
The total currently stands at over £1700 from local donations across Marlow.
