Pictures taken last week show the actor apparently shooting scenes near the Lions of Bledlow pub in Church End.
The popular pub has been in demand as a film set location, shutting its doors from April 15 to 23 for filming - reportedly for Masters of the Air - before closing again from April 26 to 30, apparently for Midsomer Murders.
Masters of the Air is also filming at Newland Park in Chalfont St Giles, with a huge World War Two base set up there - featuring Nissen huts and buildings and US Army vehicles.
Masters of the Air, which started filming in the UK in February, is a Second World War miniseries which will follow the exploits of the Eighth Air Force of the US Army.
