A man has been charged in connection with a murder investigation after a former police officer and canal worker died in Aylesbury.
Grandfather Clive Porter, 63, was found with serious injuries on a towpath near the Grand Union Canal on April 26 but he tragically died at the scene.
Mr Porter, from Tring in Hertfordshire, was a police officer for 30 years before he joined the Canal and River Trust.
His family described him as a "quiet, calm and caring" person.

A 34-year-old man has now been charged as police continue to investigate Mr Porter's death as murder.
Daniel Wisniewski, of no fixed address, has been charged with one count of murder.
He is set to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court for the first time today.
A 41-year-old woman from Birmingham who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the court of justice has been released on bail to appear at Aylesbury police station on May 24.
