Originally planned for March 2020, the event was postponed due to the pandemic — however many of Marlow’s schools, including the original host Great Marlow School, have expressed their enthusiasm to hold an event in July 2021.
Phil Irving, who leads schools projects said: “Many pupils were disappointed that the event was cancelled last year, however their commitment to sustainability has remained high. We will be working with schools in the Marlow area to plan an educational and interactive event that will support pupils and schools.”
Kevin Ford, Headteacher at Great Marlow School, said: “This has been a challenging year for schools, pupils, parents and indeed the whole community — however our children’s passion for the environment is astounding. We’re delighted to be picking up this exciting project again.

“Over the coming weeks, the Sustainable Marlow team will be working with local schools to plan the event."
With planning still in its early stage, it is not yet known if the event will be virtual or in person, but the aim of the conference to motivate school children to tackle local and global environmental problems remains the same.
